Christmas almond for the one who has never time

Here is December, the month of lights, sequins and presents.
These days see the creation of a little world with hopes and waits under every Christmas tree which becomes a guardian and a witness of that magic moment when we uncover the gift that someone bought only for us, even if the gift is wrong.
For me these feast days are the perfect situation to compile a books list that I would want to unwrap and to taste during the final and initial year days.
For you I imagined three Christmas literary almonds each one with a different aftertaste.
Today the almond is for people who always are in a hurry, who have never time; for people who want everything immediately and who hug the efficient organisation mantra.
Here the aftertaste has to be instantly satisfying, sated, complete, with small time and big return.
Nanoracconti. 250 racconti da 250 battute” (Small tales. 250 tales with 250 characters), curated by Pietro Damiano, is the book for you because it traverses all emotional perimeter in a brief and impeccable way.
The technology and the information velocity ask us to be synthetic in every setting, but this conciseness often damages the contents and its quality.
Instead in these pages the words are at the service of a story and they are valued accurately to donate a clear and precise vision.
There is an universe of emotions, relationships, rapports in these short narrations: its lines make to smile, to sigh, to think, to recognise our current events.
With the last golden paper piece it is complicated to wrap the desire that besieges us in front of that calorie and yummy dish.
It isn’t simple to sew a limited words dress on a big feeling that is born from the heart, it flows on blood vessels and it illuminates of splendour those two beacons that look in the mirror others two beacons.
There is an explosive intensity in the images painted in the white spaces, in the events creeks that are real, domestic and recurring. On the one hand there is a painful hands motion, which marks a red trail or a black labyrinth, on the other hand there is the sea, which brings the human suffering echo. There is a ground devastated by the earthquake and there is the cruelty of the best friend abandonment.
It isn’t easy to insert the story light in a glass little ball with the snow: that glass defends beautiful and natural sentiments and pages that we will read. But that glass also hides and guards a sharp goodbye and a hunger for love and dreams.
Let’s dedicate our time to these readings; let’s sip them during the coffee time because they will give us a reason to slow down and to think about what is important.
